Last night i made this cute ladybug pillow! I didn't use any patterns, or measurements but unfortunatelly it turned
out pretty good!
So here's a little tutorial:
YOU will NEED:
✂Red fabric
✂Black fabric
✂Scissors
✂needle and thread
✂fabric glue (optional)
✂STEP1:
Use something round (I used a big plate) to draw two circles (one a little bit inside the other circle) on the red
fabric.
Then join them on the sides to make them look like a huge egg. Cut out two of this shape.
✂STEP2:
Take the black fabric and draw two small circles the same way and a straight line at the joining points. The straight
line shows where to cut the whole shape in the middle, as to have two pieces. Cut them out.
✂STEP3:
Then pin them and sew the two black pieces together and the two red pieces together like shown in the picture under.
Be carefull!! DO NOT sew them all the way!!!
Then you will have two pieces that look like these.
✂STEP4: Stuff the pieces
✂STEP5: Sew the last open side of the black part.
✂STEP6:
Attach it to the red one , pin them together.. and sew them closed.
✂STEP7:
Cut little black round pieces of the black fabric to use as dots..and a bigger long one as shown in the picture under
(has to be as long as the long side of the red part).
Better make a zig-zag stitch all around the pieces you cut..just to secure them from getting raveled.
✂STEP8:
Place them where you want on your pillow. For this part i used fabric glue! But if your fabric is very thin.. or if
you are going to give it to a child, better sew them down on one of the red pieces before STEP3.
✂STEP9:
Sew two buttons for eyes and you are ready!!!
Create and enjoy!!
Please leave a link below on the comments with what you have made!
I'ld love to see!!!
